Implant RESTORATION
Premium Dental Care
Patient comfort and experience are the most important aspects of the care we provide. We know that dental fear and anxiety are the biggests barrier that patients experience when it comes to receiving dental care. We use the latest technological advances in dentistry to make your experience pain and anxiety free. Many common procedures can be performed in our office without the need for a traditional dental drill, or for the accompanying anesthetic shot in the surrounding gums. Anesthetic free dentistry eliminates much of the anxiety that patients can feel due to past experiences that may have required shots.
LASER DENTISTRY
We’re happy to announce that we offer Laser Dentistry. With Solea Laser, we can treat cavities without a drill or needle, taking the typical noise, vibration, numbness and pain out of dental visits. It also allows us to do gum surgery without needles, stitches or post-operative discomfort. Most importantly it delivers an entirely new experience for you; our patients. Imagine a dentist visit with no needles, no numbness, not noise and no pain. Even the most fearful patients leave feeling relaxed and comfortable.
Because we work without anesthesia, we can do more work in a single appointment, which means fewer visits to my office, less time away from work for adults, less time away from school for kids.
We charge the same for Solea procedures and insurance coverage is the same for Solea procedures too.
If you want to learn more about Solea, ask us or go to www.Ilovesolea.com.
Solea can be used for the following procedures and in many cases, without the need for anesthetic:
- Fillings

- Root canals
- Periodontal therapy
- Gum reshaping
- Crown lengthening
- And more…
Anesthetic free dentistry works to eliminate two of patient’s greatest fears about visits to the dentist: Shots and the dental drill. A CHANGE FOR THE
HAPPIER
The miracle we’ve both been waiting for is here: Solea. Now available to you, Solea is a dental laser that replaces the dental drill in the majority of procedures in our practice. In fact, nearly every patient skips anesthesia because they just don’t need it. Solea is our way of keeping you happy. Because more than anything, we love to see you smile.
SOLEA?
Solea is the first CO2 dental laser system cleared by the FDA for hard and soft tissue procedures. It was developed in Boston, Massachusetts by Convergent Dental, based on research conducted at the University of California School of Dentistry. Solea offers a unique wavelength guided by sophisticated computers to deliver virtually painless dental procedures for both teeth and gums from simple cavities to complex surgeries. The experience is so unique that you will find it hard to believe you were just at a dental appointment.
SOLEA?
The majority of hard and soft tissue procedures in our office are done with virtually no anesthesia and soft tissue procedures are done with virtually no bleeding. Blood-free and anesthesia-free procedures represent a major leap forward in dentistry, as we are able to execute multi-quadrant dentistry, fillings on the fly and soft tissue procedures in a single appointment. What does that mean for you, our patients? You are now able to receive the care you need in a fraction of the time. When patients have anesthesia they typically leave the office with that numb feeling still prevalent. With Solea, you are able to go right out to lunch or back to work without that numb sensation following your appointment. Solea is truly changing what it means to go to the dentist.
STA Single Tooth Anesthesia System
Fear of needles? No problem, we can use The Single Tooth Anesthesia (STA) system, also known as “The Wand” to make sure your dental visits are as comfortable and stress free as possible. The STA or wand offers several benefits:
- Improved Precision: The system allows for precise control over the flow rate, pressure, and volume of the anesthetic solution. This precision enables dentists to target specific areas more accurately, reducing the chances of affecting surrounding tissues and leading to more effective anesthesia.
- Enhanced Comfort: The controlled and slower delivery of anesthesia minimizes discomfort during injections. The design of the pen-like handpiece can also contribute to a more comfortable experience for patients, especially for single-tooth procedures or localized treatments.
- Reduced Anxiety: For individuals who are anxious about dental injections, the STA system can provide a less intimidating experience. The gradual and controlled delivery of anesthesia can help alleviate anxiety associated with the anticipation of pain.
- Minimized Tissue Damage: Because the system allows for precise delivery, there’s less likelihood of affecting neighboring tissues. This can result in reduced tissue trauma and post-injection soreness, leading to a smoother recovery.
- More Efficient Anesthesia: The targeted delivery of anesthesia ensures that only the necessary area is numbed, allowing for more efficient treatment while minimizing the discomfort typically associated with numbing larger areas than needed.
- Better Patient-Doctor Communication: The reduced discomfort and more controlled process can improve communication between the dentist and the patient during the procedure, fostering a more comfortable and cooperative environment.
Overall, the STA system offers a more comfortable and precise way of administering local anesthesia in dentistry, improving the patient experience and potentially reducing anxiety associated with dental procedures.
Nitrous Oxide:
For individuals with mild to moderate dental anxiety or those undergoing longer procedures, nitrous oxide can significantly improve the overall experience and increase their comfort during dental visits. Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is often used in dental visits to help patients relax and manage anxiety during procedures. Its benefits during dental appointments include:
- Anxiety Reduction: It’s particularly useful for patients who experience dental anxiety or phobia. Nitrous oxide induces a sense of relaxation and calmness, making the dental experience more comfortable.
- Pain Management: While not a substitute for local anesthesia, nitrous oxide can enhance pain management by reducing sensitivity to discomfort during procedures.
- Quick Onset and Recovery: It takes effect quickly once inhaled through a mask placed over the nose, and its effects wear off rapidly after the gas supply is stopped. This allows patients to resume their normal activities without lingering sedative effects.
- Adjustable Sedation Levels: The level of sedation can be easily adjusted by the dentist during the procedure, ensuring the patient remains comfortable while staying conscious and responsive.
- Safe and Well-Tolerated: Nitrous oxide is considered safe when administered by trained professionals in controlled doses. It’s well-tolerated by most patients and has few side effects.
- To administer nitrous oxide, we use a low profile and comfortable nasal cannula mask so you can receive your dental care stress and anxiety free.
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation is a method used in dentistry and certain medical procedures to help patients relax or feel more comfortable during treatments. It involves the administration of medication in pill form that induces a calming effect or drowsiness. This type of sedation doesn’t render patients unconscious, but it can make them feel sleepy and relaxed, reducing anxiety and discomfort during the procedure.
The medications used for oral sedation can vary, and your dentists will be able to prescribe the best medication for your needs and comfort. The dosage and type of medication are usually determined based on the patient’s medical history, the procedure being performed, and the level of anxiety or discomfort the patient experiences.
It’s important for patients considering oral sedation to discuss their medical history, including any medications they currently take, with their provider. Additionally, it’s crucial to have a responsible adult accompany the patient to and from the appointment, as the effects of the sedation may linger for a few hours afterward.
